Oh yeah, this is what I meant to say earlier. I finished reading the first school book for this summer: Old School by Tobias Wolff. The first two chapters were kinda slow and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to finish this. But it got going and I finished it. I won't bother saying what it's about, except that I think anyone considering being a writer should at least try to read it.

I recently finished reading Tobias Wolff's short story collection In the Garden of the North American Martyrs . Such great stuff. Mr. Wolff is an amazing writer who produces stories highlighting the everyday...correctly; it sets a tone for a lot of what follows it. Anyway, here's a link. The panel discussion was not a success... The thesis was so wrongheaded that Brooke had assumed it to be insincere, but this was not the case.
