I'm feeling under the weather up here in New York, but I wanted to link everyone to a new review that's out for Total Knockout. Steph, of Reviewer X fame, agreed to review my little book, which I...opinion. And she did. Read what she had to say about it. Now I'm going to crawl back onto the couch and pretend like there's no such thing as a stomach ache, or a massive financial crisis.

I'm looking for my mojo. If anyone finds it, please let me know. Here's what it looks like, in pictures, from idea to published. Well, first you have to have an idea. I tried to Google image "idea...it's printed... Then you celebrate! Okay, so this is way simplified, but I'm very sleepy and working very hard on my next book. Right now I'm on picture two. That's all I've got.  

I love this part of publishing a book the reviews! And interviews! So fun. Book Chic is planning on having my stuff up this weekend or early next week, so watch out for that. You know how huge he is...sad. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year, hands down. To me, New York is at its loveliest at this time of year, and it makes me so thankful that I live here. I mean, how lucky am I?!

It has been a long, exhausting, exciting week, so before I pass out I figured I'd get a few random things out. But first, sincere and major thanks to everyone who sent me such nice messages (and flowers...to sleep for the rest of the weekend, but I have to turn in 20 pages of my new book by Sunday night, so tomorrow will be an important day at the library. Thanks for an amazing week everyone!!  

My little book got a great welcome last night at my party at the Library Hotel's rooftop bar, Bookmarks. MAJOR thanks to everyone who came--it really means a lot to me, and so appreciate your support!

Today is the day that Total Knockout:  Tale of an Ex-Class President  finally arrives in bookstores. Rejoice!! People often wonder what authors do on their pub days. I’m sure those successful author...possibly get worse. Right?? I’m still hoping people will show up to my party tonight. Is rain on your pub day good luck, like rain on your wedding day? I sure hope so. Let the royalty checks roll in!

We are mere hours away from Total Knockout being live in stores, and I’m getting pretty excited! Especially for the little party I’m having Tuesday night to celebrate—rain or not, we’ll have a great...Favorite , you'll understand that many of poor Sara Thurman's embarrassments are very dear to my own troubled heart.) My author's copies of Total Knockout: Tale of an Ex-Class President have arrived!   Get yours September 9, okay?

I certainly didn't expect to find this when I got home this evening! Five extra copies, not including my author's copies which will come later. How about that?! Super thanks to Alyson for sending... I'm such a huge fan I gave them a shout in my first book. Well, now they gave me a little shout too. Finally, some people wonder why I often describe Texas as "weird." This should give you a clue.

The steps to becoming a real, live, published book kept coming this week when I got the ARCs to my new book, Total Knockout: Tale of an Ex-Class President on Monday A dvanced R eading C opy...a mac 'n cheese cookoff and wishing I had something delish to eat for dinner. Right now all I've got is dry cereal, mini carrots, and Ritz crackers.  I wish. Happy eating, happy eating!
