I am probably not going to attend the Hugo Awards. The auditorium is better then that at Chicon (not saying much) or Reno, but still, it's kind of like the Academy Awards - more interesting to see who...is very impressive) and The Queen's Residence, which is now an art gallery. But today my legs hurt, my knees hurt and my ankles hurt. I can't think of anything else at the moment, so have a picture.
ok so like early this week my mom was like "wanna go to cancun next week?" and I said yes so now we're going to cancun. Leaving tomorrow before sunrise, obviously. Pretty nice, though. Apparently...learning the stories of people. That is why I am here, for instance. This entry was originally posted at http://skellaxinscruples.dreamwidth.org/3172.html . Занесло меня по неотложным делам в Мюнхен. Свободного времени оказалось всего 4-5 часов, поэтому я посмотрел основные...Мюнхен немного похож на Прагу, архитектурой и какими-то деталями. И конечно туристами, которых там море..
One issue I have with the proliferation of services payable via mobile phone is that I'm never sure if they'll work with my provider. This is a particular problem when I'm outside the country where my...this may not work forever as many of these services find payment by mobile phone a cheaper alternative to other payment methods. I wait for this to become seamless, but I expect I'll have a long wait
Since today was my birthday, I pretty much took the day off to do whatever I wanted. I started off my day going to the Weta Workshop exhibition which is here in Seoul until Sunday. It was really awesome...is really a steal), and I'm about to bite into the pistachio macaron (delicious though perhaps more chewy than macarons are meant to be). All in all, a quite successful celebration of my birthday:
Sitting on the plane today, having landed in Detroit (just in from Boston). I happened to be seated directly above the baggage compartment door, so while waiting to deplane I could observe through my little...again. I couldn't help but laugh. Those poor guys! Fortunately there was a lot of smiling, laughing, and eye-rolling amid the exasperation they were showing. Just another day at the office, right
Greetings from Minnesota! My trip went fairly well, all things considered. We were late leaving Ithaca on Tuesday morning because the plane was slightly overweight and had to burn fuel for several minutes...sounds don't feel strange. They feel like home. And now I am going to read for a while before going to bed. :-) You can also read this entry on Dreamwidth , where there are currently ( comments)
I am in San Francisco! Until tomorrow, that is. I got to L.A. quite safely, and took the one hour ride out to Westfield Mall to meet Shing. It's a very nice mall! It's definitely built for hanging out...worry about that later. So I guess I will write in again when I get to Korea! This entry was originally posted at http://jhameia.dreamwidth.org/139469.html . I made it from Oxford to London. My trip was not without some (minor) drama. Things started well enough. Not wanting to lug my suitcase nearly a mile over crowded streets, I booked a taxi. Said taxi...the street to the white-tablecloth Chinese restaurant and had dinner. Registration tomorrow. ETA: Oh, and my 10-year-old el-cheapo digital camera has gone to that great camera store in the sky
