September 5 th , 2008 – “Storm Trouble and Hell’s Prisoners” First, a prologue: The tropical storm Hannah will arrive soon and I guess it was on my mind in the dream last night. ...that we can’t destroy the demons within ourselves by using brute force, we have to use knowledge (the scrolls), art (the song lyrics), and peace (the symbol) to do so. Isn't that awesome!?!
*thinks* Oh bloody loverly just what we don't need. I will be so happy when Nov 30th comes by because it's supposed to be the end of the hurricane season. Tropical Storm Kyle is supposed to hit the Maritimes...be Saint John, NB. We'll still receive the heavy winds and rain. And this weekend is the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Juan The Weather Network Tropical Storm Kyle NOAA Tropical Storm Kyle
Well, that Hanna a whole lotta nothing. Thankfully... I think the storm magically without any involvement from a bunch of supernatural forces I know about veered east. We got a ton of rain dumped on...was Camilla the Hun, I forget, but what a trooper! Camilla was the star for most of the evening, along with Mother Trucker for HARD. These are real sports professionals, not just hot girls on skates
Last night, it rained hard for a while, and there was at least one rumble of thunder. Today, Saturday, I got up at 5 AM to feed the cats. I stepped outside briefly. It felt like being slapped in the...I think that was just a tree branch being blown around and it smacked the roof before springing back up. Steve wants to trim back those branches the next time he's on the roof cleaning the gutters
So Hanna came and went and did pretty much nothing here. I think downtown got flooded because, well, it's below sea level to begin with. Here, though, it just rained a lot, but nothing flooded so we're good. Now it's a beautiful day and I think I'll go shopping with the money my grandparents sent me for back to school.
Oh that's right, she's outside my window. >_> *sigh* I was sleeping so nicely until that huge gust of wind blasted my window. Now I'm stuck with the TV knocked out, and a Tropical Storm at my window...blowing shit around. Hanna, you're such a bitch. Ike better keep his ass down in the Gulf and let me get some fucking sleep. Hmmm....should brought the deck furniture under the house. whoops!
okay. Stupid Tropical storm Hanna is making the weather super crappy. Now I can't really hang out with any of my friends. But I kinda want to be alone this weekend anyway. I look like shit, so maybe Monday...for now. I'm kind of calm, maybe even a little peaceful. So long and good night. So long not good night. Typing is so peaceful. And just if anyone is out there reading this... just let me know... K
Maybe it's going to hit the DC area because of all the immorality here? from Alert DC to Alert DC Users date Fri, Sep 5, 2008 at 11:34 AM...like fun, doesn't it? Lucky me, I have mandatory orientation at GWU starting at 930am Saturday morning. Will bring umbrella, and hip-waders......and what else does one bring to a tropical storm?
Tropical storm Hannah is apparently on the loose and heading this way. hooray. School is closed(didn't matter to me cause I don't have friday classes) Work is probably gonna close(Yes!!!), but the downside... I will kill myself. Please pray for me that the none of the fore-mentioned happens. I'll just have to rely on my boys to keep me sane through all this madness. Peace, Love, and Cupcakes! ~Bri
So, tropical storm Hanna is coming my way which means I may or may not lose power some time today or tomorrow. It shouldn't be too bad, it's not making landfall here - or it's not supposed to - so we'll just get winds and rain. Dad's mostly worried about the very large pines around the house that might fall on it if the winds are strong enough.
