I found this amazing image in a CD that I own, it is a royalty free image who at least at one point was owned by somebody. Wonderful picture. It tickles my imagination as I can see an angel at times or a demon at others in this naturally sculpted tree! Shapes always intrigue me.

On Dawn’s advice, the first step in restoring/preserving the wood is in filling in the gaps all along her outside with wood putty.   Many are small hairline gaps, but there are a few, like the chainsaw...that I missed this first time.   Cracks like the one I’m staring at right now, having missed it but lacking the motivation to fix immediately as I’ve already cleaned the putty knife.
