9:23 AM 7/24/09 · They're doing a segment on the Swine Flu on KCBS this morning and I'm hearing stuff I hadn't caught onto earlier. Like it's not going to be just a single shot. This isn't like before...as they did something they already had that their now compromised immune system was made more vulnerable to. Early estimates point to about 40% of the population of the United States being infected
I just found out that my friend's 18 month old daughter recently received the varicella vaccine and is now showing symptoms of mild chicken pox. I know this is normal, but I'm thinking she should have...anyone elses child gotten chicken pox from someone who had an outbreak from the vaccine? Am I overreacting (as I tend to do on occasion)? My son is 11 months old and has not received this shot yet
...will be getting the MMR, but I think I will be declining the Chicken Poxvaccine. Have any of you mothers declined one or both? How was your ped.'s reaction? How much better off do you think you child is/was? ETA: We decided it was best to get both vaccinations today. Now we are just waiting to see if he is allergic to peaches. :) Thanks for all the input Mammas, you were all really helpful.

I have been...and the idea of giving a lot of shots at once worries me. Has anyone delayed or spaced out their shots with their children. How do your child do? What kind of reception did you get from the doctor? TIA
I don’t know if Soren being so unsettled yesterday was because of his vaccinations, or because he was coming down with Jericho’s cold. He was up a few times last night, and today he’s just been a snot streaming, coughing, crying bundle of misery. All he wants is his mama. His temperature has been going up and down a bit and the cough has made him vomit a couple of times (although it’s not as though...
It just took me 40 minutes to get Soren to fallasleep in my arms, which is just unheard of. Poor baby was very unhappy. He was overtired, and he had his four month vaccinations today so it might be related to that. I’m so disorganized with his vaxes. I get it done through the council, and they’re only in town once a month and I always forget about it and miss it. When I went in today and said...
