Trundled around today on Mt. Tabor with the wonderful ms. theeflappergirl . It was a gorgeous day, grey and overcast and cool, and the *perfect* season for mushroom hunting, which is a pastime...water out of the reservoir or refilling it? It started to rain -- scattered drops, but big ones -- just as I was about
to leave the pond-side trail and take the long way back to work. Changed
course and pushed the pace to (I hope) just short of leg cramps. Didn't
get all that wet.
The temperature was perfect: mid-60s, I think; just right for getting

...already this afternoon I've done SIX discussion board posts for that communication class. Nice. 2. My boots are awesome. Period. 3. Amy is going to make delicious apple crisp! 4. I had a fantastic walk with Casey last night. It felt like old times, like when we could just hang out and talk without him feeling like he had to have an agenda or me feeling like I had to hide how sad I was. Just talking...
This is basically just a set of random notes. First the health notes:

Monday in the DFW airport.
Stayed on the gluten-free diet pretty well, modulo a couple of brownies in
the con suite and a slice of German chocolate cake at the Pegasus dinner.
I forgot my Claritin. Stupid bear. From now on I'll just add it to...
Today is a great day. I have finally been able to achieve my fund-raising minimum goal for our breast cancer walk. Honestly it has been no small feat to raise the $4400 for both Robin and I for the walk. Its far from a trivial amount of money and it really does my heart alot of good to know that we have been able to generate this kind of a donation for such a wonderful cause. Now with that being said...
In a few weeks, I can go to the café (which opens at 7am) for breakfast again. In the meanwhile, the garage is open. Fruit juice and sandwiches are not the same. One new aspect to my daily routine this...sat just behind, in fact almost *on* my left shoulder. I think the room must be quite nippy. Meanwhile, Livejournal is offering me a not-very-useful range of tags, one of which is 'death bucket wigan'
