Dinner last night with some of my favorite San Diegans was fantastic, but some of my favorite SoCaliens were missing. We went to the Mecca of All Things Skewered and Delicious, and it totally lived up... Only... there's one guy and 7 women, so we're gender bending. We also thought about renaming the dwarves to things like sleazy and gropey, but... well, we *are* HR after all.... Time for workey
This week has been spent mostly recovering from my surgery last Thursday. I’ve been exceedingly lucky to have very sweet girlfriends who have been going out of their way to take care of me and to make... "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." -- George W. Bush, August 5, 2004
Easy work week wise... (Maybe not as easy as I thought...) My Ipod came back from the dead but not until last night. As a result, I was subjected to AM Radio all damn week. So, I feel like I have had...environments like this that get depots into power in the first place - total and complete incompetence of leadership. In much better news, going to hang with TRK tonight. Should be good times.
This was a much needed mellow weekend of rest and lots of time with the Love Monkey. Details are mostly boring and therefore cut for the un-interested. Friday evening, the Code Monkey came home at...one. In slightly more than 24 hours, we will be in Maine and the Love Monkey will be indoctrinated into the family. Thank goodness we're also spendinga few days with his parents!! Wish us luck!!
It has been a crazy week and I'm terribly behind in life at the moment. I have no photos at all of all the cuteness this week because my camera is beyond fixable broken. *cry* Monday I got to run my...Faire or the Coastal Carolina Fair this year. There is no way we can afford both. I really don't think we can afford either of them but sometimes you just have to toss caution to the wind and have fun
Week in Review – 2008.09-27 This week has been relatively better. My mom was really bad during the middle of the week, but she seems to be getting better again – the difference between Wednesday and yesterday... Hope to see some of you Indy folks at PPD and/or the bout! "Everybody’s children are so special. It makes you wonder where all the ordinary grown-ups come from." -- Samantha Morton, Code 46
Sunday, September 14 : first day home from Monterey. Slept in! Eric picked up Waffle House breakfasts and brought them home. Cleaned out my email inboxes. Balanced both checkbooks. Had dinner at Noodles... She's signed up for it in October, too, and already can't wait. It was fun, and the dogs were so well behaved and wonderful. I want a dog. So yeah. Headache. Sinus ache. Tired. Going to bed soon. G'night
A random spread of stuff that caught my eye this week. Been too busy to post, but slack day this Sun. Just the chores and evening guests. Plenty of time to type up a nice long post. The makes me happy...resembles-no-known-object.html http://io9.com/5047775/galactic-internet-could-broadcast-alien-signals bang. right on the handforged nailhead, old man. http://www.darkfantasy.org/fantasy/?p=928
This has been a very stressful week, with a few very nicemoments in between. Most of the stress comes from my mom, who is manic and spent the first half of the week trying to get out of the stress center...World of Darkness campaign, since she and I haven't gotten to RP in ever. Hope everyone else has a good weekend! I could survive for 54 seconds chained to a bunk bed with a velociraptor
Last Sunday was great. icespark and I drove to Dayton, OH, so she could take part in an open scrimmage with the Gem City Rollergirls . We got to see calyhexinmate and dunmurderin... B^) Off to get ready for the rare dinner-and-a-movie! Headline of the day, per sargiegirl76 – Bush: Better human intelligence needed Yeah, that pretty much covers it. ;)
