It's funny how only three weeks ago, if someone had said I could go two weeks without drinking wine and not really find it a struggle, I would not have believed them.  But that is the case.  However I am beginning to miss it now and to count the days and weeks to the end of Lent.  But it has become a matter of pride not to give in to temptation.  I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing...

Yes, the third day with no wine is beginning, and I have woken up with what feels suspiciously like a hangover - pounding head, dizziness, hot flushes, slightly nauseous. Whenever I feel like I've gone nowhere...that I've done nothing... all I have to remember is what I left behind.  I took the exit ramp; I left the road to hell. I love this song.  This post today...I was doing errands and I always try to touch base with my girls when I'm doing errands.   She reminded me...I used to live on that road which was, to me, the road to hell.
