Part of my problem with the new novelthing is that I've been lacking a Villain. The lady!vampire started out that way. And then, as all good characters do (and I don't mean "good" as in "good vs evil"...thinking up Poison Spider Trail. The Willys is in primo condition after getting the radiator fixed, and this can be a nice little shakeout cruise for it. I may be scarce on LJ for the next couple of days

This writing game is really really weird. I posted yesterday that I "snapped Ben like a rubber band." And truly, I thought I had. But when I was on the bike last night, re-reading that scene? I realized... He didn't break. He made a decision. Sometimes, we don't know our own characters as well as we think we do, at least at first blush. Sorry, Ben. I underestimated you. People seem to do that a lot

And I'll say it again: There's something wrong with me. Why Ben hasn't killed me in my sleep by now, I will never know. I've been thinking about raping Ben in the next thing. Which is bad enough....violate their own ethics. And when they do that... Yeah. Repercussions. And that gets back to me being a horrible person. Because, really. Who the hell thinks of this kind of stuff? I hate my brain

Me and fellow translators kit_kat_2006 and mondenengel decided to talk some about our translations so to improve on our work. So here are a couple of notes on translating "Stakes." I...will.
