A less happy dancing occasion: Winslow heard the drums before she heard the voices, calling and shouting somewhere in the camp. She looked up from rolling a length of linen, startled. Titan rasped...raised one hand in goodbye, wiping her eyes on her sleeve, a childhood habit she’d never outgrown. Winslow smiled. Then she spun the horse and kicked her into a gallop, heading back towards the dunes.
Really! I remember why I quit DOING SHIT. WRITING'S FUCKING DRAINING, OKAY, EVEN WHEN IT'S EASY. WHICH IT NEVER FUCKING IS. Just. GAH. If it weren't for my glasses, I would be BLIND BY NOW.
A scene from Winslow: Their first few days in the desert were conducted entirely by instinct. Winslow, huddled and shivering, blindly sought the warmest, brightest place in memory, the blazing desert... with very little metal to be found. Winslow’s own earring were not a native of Lonam at all. Perhaps, she mused, they were the work of this exact artisan. Something in the back of the tent shifted
I might have accidentally spent the whole day writing. On a story that I haven't been inspired for since I wrote up my story synopsis, ages ago. And I'm not even writing from where I left off. I'm writing a scene that takes place so far in the future, it's more like Volume 3 of the Story, rather than The Story. Jeeesus.
Saw Drag Me To Hell . No, really. The whole movie, I was shouting at the screen, "That was uncalled for!" Seriously, the sheer amount of shit that went into that woman's mouth just waved at 'Ridiculous'...cameo. On top of that, I came to a realization. The story I'd been writing like a mad thing was back, only this time the main male is black and there is a dog involved. Should be interesting
Ganked from nu_breed : Post a single sentence extract from each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations. 01. The passing car’s radio was creaking out an...killing herself. 04. A world lays beside our own, joined to us by two bridges. 05. Misery's first thought upon waking was that the world was ending. Oh lord, that's both painful and amusing all at once
When you realize after an hour long writing spree that in the last 2000 words your characters are no longer recognizable and you are doing it wrong. So now I have to rewrite... uh, just a lot. But with...still be a bastard and my pain-in-the-ass heroine will still be a a pain-in-the-ass, but a capable one. Guys, if I had a test or something to study for this weekend, this would be such a bad scene
I dyed my hair again today. I'd been planning on going back to brown when my paycheck got cashed later this week, but after mentioning my plan to my friends, one of them presented me with a box of semi...& der Club of Gore, but the second character still eludes me. Probably because I don't know enough about them, yet. Eh. I gotta quit stalling and study for a philosophy test. Ask me how excited I am
