I've written a short story for a class at uni, but...I think I might need your help to get it right. Any Americans on the friends list, please to be helping me keep my US-speak consistent. To the one or...Such Place by Augie March (off their album Sunset Studies ). I own none of them, am making no money from them and mean no disrespect by their use. The title also comes from The Crane Wife Part 1
Note: this is dedicated to my best friend, who I hope had a fantastic 24th birthday. Youngin'. This piece is related to a couple who came before it ( Heavy and Brilliance ), but hopefully it will manage...he sighs and rolls his eyes. "I had already made my decision." I grin. "I won't let you down." Walking out of the courtyard, I smile to myself. Finally finished with training. There it goes…
...my own fucking journal, because I didn't want to update on how many balls my life is currently sucking into oblivion at this point. But what the hell, I'm blocked as fuck on all the damn stories I'm writing at the same time (I always DO that!!! Man one of these days I need to get fucking organized...more on this later, believe me). So here's what's been going on: * We're still trying to find a...
I found this a little funny when you look at the post dates. It's the paragraph about Rosenqueen and Ar Tonelico II in the second link; three paragraphs from the bottom. Granted, I should have talked up the limited aspect of it more and provided information in general, but hey. Yes, I fail at hyperlinking documents to open up where I want to them to. If you're writing something that's been written a thousand times before? I keep hearing her in my head... she wants to come out but when I actually put my fingers to the keyboard... I've got... nothing... I get...
I have been catching up on friends list (still not remotely caught up on my own comments, alas, but made a big dent in flist at least) and rocking out to this song (warning: may cause levels of headbanging... including the cross-country train trip to straighten out Val's head once she turned out to be dating the crazy photographer. I so did not see that coming.) *Sperm donor. **Ain't I cute
I just finished a story called "The Way Station." It's out in the world now. I'll let you know when it finds a home. Now on to a story called, tentatively, "Blackberry Winter." This one is going to be fun, I think. I've been looking forward to writing it for a while. It has a mad scientist in it.
Today in English we were introduced to iambic pentameter poetry, and we read Shakespeare's Sonnet 27. Then we were told to write our own, something about ecology since the english and biology honors...and bees to pollenate Creatures began to swim in the ocean flow But as sweet love formed new bonds so did hate Hope the damage caused won't make the world fall That the damage will cease once and for all
Fractured region: An open letter for change A history of short-sighted planning, zoning and variances culminates today in an inert city resistant to change. Culminates today in quicksand. The post-industry... When weeds outnumber the flowers in your garden, it is because they adapt to negligent conditions. The future starts now. Don't neglect it; plan for it.
