I previously posted about my situation and have been on Xanax (Alprazolam 0.25) and Prozac (Fluoxetine 10mg twice a day) for almost 2 weeks now.  When the doctor saw me at the army hospital on base, she kind of explained what each med was for.  Once I got my prescriptions filled the label on the Xanax said to take 1 to 2 pills every 6 hours "as needed".  So I thought that meant to take 1 or 2 at night...

Could I be prescribed xanax for longtime use? I am currently taking .5 three times a day. I have not had any panic attacks since, which were daily. Thanks for any input! I hope you all are well. xx
