I'm still waiting on the latest book from the library and about 3 behind in the reserve list so giving the series a rest until I get it. Meantime, have finished this one while I was away, so am now up... the bloodthirsty tribe will relaunch their quest to wipe every human from the planet. Because that's what demons live to do. When I first read over this question, I found it to be a bit ridiculous. I mean, what kind of parent limits their child's exposure to literature? However, now that I think back to middle school (6th...I don't regret my decision at all. My mother found out about a year later, when I read it in class. She was a little miffed, but not that surprised. ...Whew. Long post is long. Sorry about that.

...Bitterblue safe? It's good stuff. I feel I ought to mention, though, that there are a few places where I thought Cashore could've delved a little deeper into things. The style is also decidedly YA in places; not necessarily a bad thing, as this is a YA novel, but it could alienate some adult readers. Those are minor quibbles, though. I highly recommend this, particularly to those searching...
My parents arrive in Austin tomorrow, which is terrifying. They've never been to Texas before, let alone our house, and my mother is nosey as hell. Mark is up in arms about how much time he's going to... I think this disappointment is a little unwarranted - already signed - a good thing, right? But it's no new news that I'm a wee bit neurotic, and this is just another thing for me to worry about.
