Well... pumpkin is carved... that's one in the positive column i guess. we are kinda... halfway to having heat... maybe... they think they've tracked down the problem, after fixing two things that weren't...by anything but a little bit of gum... but it seems to be too sensitive for him. so he's going along to the vet as well... poor thing :( ugh... is this year over yet... oh.. wait.. yes.. i guess it is
They both jumped up on the bed all on their own, which is saying something considering they've been so ADD running all over the apartment I'm surprised they even thought to look up. And Winnie has discovered...letting them get used to being in the larger part of the apartment and soon they'll wear themselves out I'm sure and will fall asleep. *oof* If they don't quit running head first into my feet that is. X
So I decided it would be awesome if my cafe did like STAFF show, since like half the staff is involved in visual art, the other 50% is architecture and music. haha. My boss thought this is a GREAT IDEA...work, but she was going to a concert and didn't so I sulked. BUT an hour or so after I finished work she invited me to meet her at ONE of the starbucks by my apartment. So I got to see her anyway.
I have read 90 books this year! I'm gonna make that hundred. The lump on Joseba's jaw is smaller, so I believe it is not a tick or cancer, but maybe just some kind of infection. Yay not being fatal! ...Stars helped me cry it out & feel a little better. I also found a 2nd pair of 'fat pants,' with an elastic waistband. I have something to wear tomorrow besides my bedraggled tie-dye pair!!
Pill pockets.... I used to think I was pretty good at giving pills to cats, until had to medicate my June. These came highly recommended to me. I was skeptical, but damn they work. You put the pill in, smoosh it down, and give to your cat. They will chomp it down, then beg for another. I don't understand why the cat just doesn't eat the pocket and spit out the pill... but it works so I don't...
So I'm watching TV with my parents the other night. (Yes, I admit that isn't unusual. Wait for it.) And Bear, my cat, walks in the room. With something in his mouth. (Again, not the strange part.) I thought...blog. Started organizing my clothing to go to Florida next week. Felt slightly nervous that NaNoWriMo is starting so soon. Which is ironic, because I've been waiting on tenterhooks for it to start
My new camera came yesterday so I decided to use my cats as test subjects :3 Spencer was out and Mystery was in the other room, so no photos of them! We replaced the old cat tree with this one, Zoe seems to like it. Footsie! Lastly, one nice high-res photo here!
...transplant the petunias that were trying to commit suicide via poor drainage from the front to the back and just generally laze about, while Chris took care of a vet appointment and made groceries. I felt almost like one of those people who doesn't have a life and can just go sit in a church all day. Two new rescue kittens coming this weekend. Well, teenage cats, more like. I swear I didn't mean to.
A cat meme from embroiderama and meredevachon If you are reading this, post a picture of a cat in your journal. (Your cat, a lolcat, or someone else's cat. But preferably yours,...baby crying on TV. He's the 'man in charge' of the litter trays and supervises the scooping and filling to make sure the job is done RIGHT, and a sufficient amount of litter gets put in the trays.
