I've just brought Petra home and right now she has flopped onto the red carpet and is lying there. I suspect she may be a grumpy, or bewildered or sore or... something. Her left hind leg has a couple of stitches in it from the removal of the pin. It is also rather withered and it makes her look kind of Frankenkitty. Yesterday was a good day. My friend Craig drove me and Petra to the vet (saving me taxi fare there and back) and kitty's leg was x-rayed. The bones have healed so well that it was difficult to see on the x-ray where it had actually happened. The vet is very pleased, but not half as pleased as I am. The confinement has been worth it. So my dog woke me up at 3AM this morning coughing and wheezing like an old lady. It was seriously like she just inhaled some water somehow and was choking on it. I was a little concerned: A) Damnit I let...vet. But she got over it and crawled up on the bed with me like, "Mommy, can I sleep with you?". Awwww... Anyway, she's fine but she's all snotty today. Petra went in to have her splint taken off today, though she is still well bandaged and confined to her cage for at least another fortnight.
