That's right 3/3 I may be called as a juror. Maybe this time I will actually make it in front of a judge! It will be my third experience, 1 in TX and 1 here last year. The parking thing is a bit of a pain...will be better. I know it's a pain to travel down there, wait, wait some more, and all that but I really think that it's an important civic duty and I will be proud to do it if I am selected
Well, I had jury duty today. I was juror #1; why was I not surprised. With a name starting with A, it's my lot in life to be called first even when I don't want to. On the questionnaire about my past...about going to bed early tonight; there's nothing much good on TV. I was trying to stay alert and not nod out at jury duty this time. Maybe that's why they keep rejecting me. I'm not complaining.
I was instructed to report at 9. I was there at 8:40. We were finally allowed into the courtroom (from the hall where we stood) about 10. We were the 36 person jury panel for a case of assault being brought... jokes about sex, and other bits of low level humor. YEP. Will kids love this book? Most certainly. Thanks, Carter, for helping me not scream out obscenities while I waited to perform my civic duty
So yay of yays I am done fulfilling my civic duty for at least a year!!! Jury duty is finished!!! However, not only did I end up in a courtroom in the Jury pool, but I ended up in the damn box! I had...prosecutor asked me what crime shows I liked *g* ... Criminal Minds, CSI, The Closer, Law and Order (the original, SVU and CI) ... although the whole courtroom laughed *g* Done for the year, yay!!
I'm still on jury duty! What the fuck? is right! I started November 4th, and what's the date? Living apart has been quite the adventure actually. It's cool seeing us make time to be together, we never...might add! I hate waiting for Christmas day, what for? I still haven't come up with a name for the new ipod... I'm thinking Iman? Oi! The new year is sneaking up... endless possibilities or lack thereof
I love SyFy channel mini-series. Tin Man was a really good one. And Alice... That's my favorite. I think I've watched it everytime it was on TV! I can't wait for it to go on DVD!! Today I was supposed...always tastes better reheated. I love "shuffle" on my iPod! This morning "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus came on. Wahaha, oh the good ol' days! Last whole week at work for the rest of the year!! Whoop
