George Stevens is fast becoming one of my favourite film directors. While his films can't be distinguished by a particular signature style or visual flair, they all have one thing in common - they...the issues it deals with will always be relevant, regardless of shifts in attitudes within the modern society. It also has many genuinely funny moments, and is worth watching for the humour alone.

Last night Stone came over to play a short Champions bit (top secret for now folks) which went pretty well-well, I think we both had fun, anyways, even if it didn't necessarily go that well for Stone's...that's pretty damned similar to that of the Emporer in Return of the Jedi . While I'd previously noticed the influence this film had on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom this was a new one
