Alex (Hugh Grant) and Sophie (Drew Barrymore) in the music making process. 1.5 years ago, I remember seeing commercial advertising “Music and Lyrics” ‘round Valentine’s Day season; I also remember...crowd. Note: School started for me on August 27th last week, and I've only just got my footing with my schedule and such. So here's the delayed weekly movie review that I owe to this blog.
So I watched this movie called Jumper the other day, largely because I am a fan ofscience fiction and the premise seemed promising. And what has this to do with music? Stick with me. The movie, of course...it out at least long enough to get to the point in the film where the Hip song is playing. That was all I had, really. Way to go, Hip! It’s just too bad that it was in such a crappy, idiotic film
Quite inadvertently, I took two movies out from the librarythis past weekend that shared some remarkable similarities. The first of these was “The Secret of Roan Inish” . I had seen it in a theater...would have to say each film tells a story of moving beyond disbelief into a state of faith. Then the impossible happens.

Lights: 2008. Action. Rated PG for sci-fi action violence throughout, brief language and momentary smoking. Running Time: 98 minutes. Still not really feeling like writing a long, verbose entry, so we'll stick with a few lines of quickie thoughts. - This is the greatestfan-made Iron Man costume I've ever seen. Special thanks to ... nonetheless. The movie wasn't Casablanca or Pan's Labyrinth as far as movie quality goes, but damn, it was a good "turn your brain off for two hours and watch stuff get blown up" pop corn flick.
I just saw Hamlet 2 . I went with amblypygid , a date in the middle of the day courtesy of laffingbuddha who babysat the kids. This is one of the most skillfully crafted, well-acted... Movies like the one playing in Dana Marschz's head, in which he is the star. I highly, highly recommend you give this film a chance. It may not be the film for you, but you won't know unless you try
So pockyman asks me for some Shaw Bros. DVD recommendations. I immediately drop what I was intending to write about tonight, just to pander to my tiny little audience. That's the kind of...day. Anyhow, if you don't want to dive right into buying these DVDs, they're almost all available via Netflix. Hope this is of help to you, and there's plenty more to look forward to.
Forgot to mention: see Hamlet 2. Just do it. If you live in or near Toledo, the Bowling Green mall has a theater that only charges $2.25/ticket for daytime shows and $4.25 for evening shows--even brand... and it just gets better. *The herpes one is awesome. It's EXACTLY like the Valtrex one, if anybody remembers it. Definitely not something you'd want to be remembered for, of you were an actor
I loves me some Raw Feed Entertainment. Like Woah. Ridiculous speech brought of extreme enthusiasm aside, Raw Feed is one of the newest, hottest studios out there right now. It's sexy, it's gruesome...amazed at the emotions that come up. Ois isn't for everyone. It is extremely graphic and a little disturbing. But a little violence gore and depravity never hurt anyone, really. Did it? Otis - B
saw batman this weekend for the first time. and what was my first impression of it? but seriously folks, i enjoyed the film. it was not a feel-good movie by any means, but i think for once they really captured the image that batman should project. the look/feel seemed very close to The Dark Knight Returns, to me.
