I think what struck me most in the past two years, is that I have had many friends and family members afflicted by cancer.  This past year and a half have been especially hard for me and my husband,...why I'm donating 25% of each album sale to a cancer research organization.  One that has a great reputation for aggressively tackling cancer, and researches extensively all avenues to finding a cure.

So my friend Curtis departed my couch for Olympia this morning. I am now once more the sole dweller of my homestead. It is very quiet. I did not anticipate having a roommate for so long, but we had a good deal of adventurous escapades and he animated a lovable, obnoxious piece of my heart into a funny Flash animation. He left a much closer friend than when he arrived. I think we may hitchhike together...

I was thinking a lot today, about me and Curtis. About how happy he makes me, and everytime I think of him I can't help but smile. He makes my head feel fluffy and light. He makes my heart flutter. When I see him my voice gets high, and I get flirty. I'm constantly wanting nothing more than to hold him and be held in the same. None of what I have said even comes close to how I've been feeling lately...
