So I finally broke my book hiatus by finishing my 32nd book this year. I still have a long way to go to reach my goal of 50 books. With only 4 months ahead, I have 18 books left as target and it means I have to read at least one a week. Since my schedule is very busy for this month and next, I am a bit pessimistic about this. Except if I try to read all of the easy reads for the next 4 months - easy...
I just finished Book Two of Breaking Dawn . I just knew it. The moment I saw Book Two was told from Jake's point of view, I knew he would be imprinting on Bella's child. Holy - fucking - crow.
i need a book to read. a good one. i just read madapple, which was really good, and now i can't find any good ones. grr. we're starting science projects in two weeks. i have to figure out what i'm going to do. i think something about plants. and water...maybe. i don't know. i'm bored right now. elfy is doing something else. meh. sometimes i feel lonely. not usually. and not right now. i'm so bored...
... Monday night Ron and I went to the diner for dinner. It was yummy, as usual. We also watched "I Am Legend" on Blu-Ray. I'm shocked to say that I liked the movie a billion times more than I liked the book. I wasn't too impressed with the book, but the movie was good. Of course I kept noting all the differences between the two. Will Smith was just plain awesome in that film. Ron enjoyed it too. Yesterday...
...fought. But I've realized now that there is nothing left that I can do so I'm giving in. I will take this time that I have off over this next semester and use it. Maybe I'll finally finish writing a book, maybe I'll try something completely new what ever it is that I do I will not sulk for an entire five months. I will use this break to my advantage. Letting go Falling back Moving on Seeing past...
Most of you probably wondered where I was most of the summer. I was diligently preparing my first ever photo book. For most all of August I was scanning, editing, correcting, designing and toiling over this book. The book is composed of sixty-six photographs taken with my Yashica Mat 124 camera. The camera shoots 6cm x 6cm, thus the square. Each photograph in the book is 6" x 6". The photographs...
Well, I managed to finish "Black" by Ted Dekker. I can't say how many people kept recommending it to me, so I finally read it. Shall I be nice or honest? The book has two parallel plot lines, one taking place in the modern world, the second taking place ostensibly in the far future. The main character Tom Hunter switches between the two settings when he falls asleep. The second story line could have...
So I'm going to the dentist today. Medicaid will cover me for 60 days. I guess that's to get me in shape for more baby making. I'm still just so down and out. I'm out of percocet. I'm onto ibuprofen. It's... I'm plowing through books at record speed, my current favorite is She's too funny. Even for me, and I shouldn't even be reading this other than to randomly break into tears at any second.
...a hold of the story though, I have a feeling it would cause some controversy. I don't want to give the plot away, but it starts off with the bombing of a Seattle coffee shop. I do recommend this book if you're a short story reader. I saw 'Babylon AD" too (not by choice; Chip took me). For the most part I really enjoyed the movie. There were a few parts that I thought, "ehhh..." There were...
