I almost forget to mention. I got my signed copy of Backup in the mail today and I read it already! It's a short story. A very good short story. If you haven't read it yet or any of The Dresden...I just love the way Jim Butcher writes the character. I have a feeling it is not to be though. Sadly. I also got my hard cover copy of Welcome to the Jungle . It's gorgeous. I'm very pleased. :
Time for an update. In the middle of the night, yes. *g* Sorry I haven't gotten to Odin yet. I want to take some new pictures of him before I write about what he did last weekend. I will definitely get...it. We both mentioned at the same time how perfect Sylar(sorry I don't know the actor's real name) is for the part of Spock. I'm looking forward to the movie. Alright, I really should get some sleep
Book 31. Something from the nightshade by Simon R. Green fantasy 240 pages I have seen this one around for a while. I thought about buying it because there is a quote on the book from Jim Butcher... Yeah, this book was ok. Nothing too great, or awful about it. John Taylor felt a bit too much like a Dresden clone, but overall it was a decent read. Doubt I will read any more of them though.

At least I don't make firm resolutions out of such attempts for then, I surely would break them.

Death Masks by Jim Butcher (2003) Another adventure of Chicago wizard Harry Dresden. This time he has been hired to retrieve the stolen Shroud of Turin -- but some powerful demons would rather he...with some striking ideas (such as 'the Archive', a storehouse of all knowledge, given human form -- that of a little girl who might be all-powerful, but still doesn't want to be up past her bedtime)
“We still hadn’t learned, though, that growing up is all about getting hurt. And then getting over it. You hurt. You recover. You move on. Odds are pretty good you’re just going to get hurt again. But...last – and yet will remain with you for life. Everyone is down on pain, because they forget something important about it: Pain is for the living. Only the dead don’t feel it.” - Harry Dresde
