I can't believe these hospital horror stories. The unmitigated audacity of the nutbars and how far they're willing to go to shore up their position in the culture war scares the living heck out of me...forced to have a c-section. The state appoints a lawyer for the fetus , but not one for you. Fuck. What the heck is this? At least Stephen Harper is keeping the worst of our nuts placated for now
Just thought Id actually put these up finally. 10 weeks 12/13 weeks 23 week confirmation. :3 I have a whole lot more, but lacking a scanner makes it very hard to get the 50+ ultrasound images I have collected uploaded.
So, there's the binary state of pregnancy--pregnant or not pregnant, which I've already kind of discounted as being not always entirely accurate. Then there's the idea of being kind of pregnant, or really pregnant. Isn't there only one kind of pregnant? Not necessarily. Something tells me I'm going to be getting a lot of 'be careful what you wish for', but I promise--I didn't wish for this. I...
...little butter ball will be padded and warm when they head out of their super snug little home. We’re sure you’ve noted that the contractions are picking up and despite the obvious appeal of getting the pregnancy over with at this point, try not to jump the gun too soon by declaring actual labor. Of course, if it’s getting to the point where you’re having contractions continuously— you’re in labor and...
I am still working - but hey - one more and I shall be done for the night... I can then start on the rest... tomorrow. I shall be at the hospital first off, then to the doctor in the afternoon... and...I was nearly killed. But all is ok - seems to have been a 'was just checking that my new pill was ok and at least I was sensible' and all was left alone... but still - ARGH! Anyways - night night xxx
...Wii with Reeka until 11 or 11:30 with a brief break when my mom and sister stopped by to drop off the car. I was very intrigued by the Wii Fit and wanted to do all the balance stuff, but balanced and pregnancy don't really go well together. It was fun to watch Doug try to master the breathing exercises though! We crashed somewhere between 11:30 and midnight. Saturday morning we were meeting Mel for...
...decrease in activity. You may need a nonstress test or biophysical profile to check on your baby's condition. Some old friends — heartburn and constipation — may take center stage now. The pregnancy hormone progesterone relaxes smooth muscle tissue throughout your body, including your gastrointestinal tract. This relaxation, coupled with the crowding in your abdomen, slows digestion, which...
Had my weight, blood pressure and urine checked. 5 weeks since I was last there. I'm up half a kilo in those 5 weeks. I'm now 87 kilo exactly. Yeah, not a lightweight, I know. Deal with it.
So far only three people know my secret: myself, my husband, and our sister-in-law, who we let in on it because she is a pediatric nurse at a nearby hospital and we knew she'd have great recommendations...and midwife -- they sounded pretty neat after I had a chance to look up what they did -- I think I can take a few months time figuring out about this whole epidural vs. natural childbirth business
I'm not sure what it is, my whole being is centred on what's going to happen after Choots arrive. It's like the whole motherhood instinct is kicking in. So much so that I am actually not very bothered...for that matter. My mind and body is gearing up for something, or rather, someone else. Lord give me wisdom to discern what is is right and the peace of mind and strength to follow through with it.
