A number of the reviews I read about my guitar mention that it had fairly high action. Horse people on the f'list will understand my immediate confused reaction of, "But it doesn't even have knees ..."

...places that sort of behaviour can be. The lesson itself was so-so. The plan was to work on counter-cantering, so we started by riding a diamond-shaped pattern. On the tighter turns we kept the horses bent the right way around the turn, but on the wider turns we rode them counter-bent. The idea was to get good control over each shoulder, and to prepare for going into a counter-canter. At the...

Sunday was mostly a whirlwind since I had both XC and SJ rounds on both horses. Thumper was up first on cross country. He was thoughtful about a few fences, but jumped really well and clean... and we came in about 45 seconds under time, which is perfect! It was a fun course...
