The little guy saw a "boo-boo" on my neck over the weekend. He saw it, gasped, and said, "Mommy, you need medical attention!" He cracks me up. ----- What doesn't crack me up is people with cell phones...feeling because I have a midterm on Thursday. I hate tests. I am even more concerned about big projects due at the end of the semester and my written exam next semester. Why am I in school again
Before taking off this weekend, I tried to clean up the "home down south". I'm still finding spiders around the house, though not as large and freaky looking as the first dozen or so. While sweeping the...could push one button. "No, " he said. "It'll turn on by itself, and when I push the button, it will say, 'You've got email!'" I have no idea where he came up with that because we don't have AOL. :-
We went out for ice cream with the kids (gotta get to DQ before they close for the winter), and the younger one was quite entertaining. First, he spent 20 minutes straight talking about how he wanted a...from the Big Bang!" YS: "But how did dey get frew da Big Bang?" At this point, we're all giggling hysterically because younger son is asking these questions with incredible melodrama. He's a hoot
The spider count is at about 8 right now, on the 13th day in my new abode. And yes, as bizarrely coincidental as it is having mentioned the shower scene in Arachnophobia, I found a spider in the shower...bookshelf is that I have no television and so the entertainmen center will look incredibly empty without all the books in it. I suppose I could unpack my box of bellydancing videos. But first, to grading
Mike got a copy of EMC-opoly at the EMC Symposium. It's a very commercial version of Monopoly, where company names are listed in place of the regular properties and such. It was free, and some of the cards...was enough to satisfy him. The annoying thing about this game is that the older one kept asking me, "What does that mean?" I guess that unless you have a background in EMC, it's not quite so funny
I was sitting at the dinner table, chatting with my mom and Mike, when the little one came up. He was holding a toy light saber (one of those telescoping ones). He handed it to me, collapsed to the shortest...we can't find it.) The younger one told me that his favorite person is Obi Wan Kenobi. I was surprised. When I was a kid, I loved Princess Leia and Luke. This kid has much more wisdom than I did at 4
Today involved a lot of shopping. I bought a few things for my new place, and Mike needed some new clothes for the conference. Of course, he won't go shopping unless I drag him kicking and screaming because...have one. My response was, "I'm sorry, but we can't get you one tonight.") I'm not too worried, though. In a few years, they probably won't realize it's the same kid they think is well-behaved
The older one is becoming a fan of Rush, and by the law of worshipping older brothers, the younger one is, too. The older one, however, gets very annoyed when the younger one uses the wrong lyrics. He...where the whole Eeyore voice came from...but I suspect this will make great blackmail material when he's older.) The relevant song is provided for comparison (from ~40 seconds to ~60 seconds).
