I experimented with overexposed ISO 80 photos yesterday. This one at EV +0.7 delivered the lighting effect I wanted --that of a black and white snapshot print from the 1960s. Normally I underexpose everything to controlhighlights. I like the feeling of letting in more light and smoothing out the Kodak M753's sensor noise.
From the Library of Congress' flickr page . I looked at a slide show from that account and was troubled to see everything coming up in 1024 pixel, oversharpened, and edge enhanced form. It seems... cleaned up version from the 24 megapixel scan. I think it works better on the web compared to the uncropped flickr version. The detailed world of the past needs scale and grandeur for more impact.
Еще несколько деталей о NFS, чаще неспецифических для NetApp, но не менее важных и интересных.
Очереди Ввода-вывода.
Если вы используете в качестве datastore LUN под VMFS, то ввод-вывод вашего ESX...

I read an extremely informative article about Microsoft's Xbox 360 on digg this morning. Now I know why high tech products are so weak. The complexity, number of parts, corner cutting, and poor design...frustration and dissatisfaction. They couldn't blame it on 3d party drivers either. When life gives you brains, education, ambition, and a solid work ethic, make lemons! Then make some more! Ridiculous!
Я решил не раздувать прошлый пост, упихивая в него всю тему.
Сегодня подробнее о том, почему, и как именно вы получите “больше от того же NetApp” при использовании VMware на NFS.
Простое и эффективное...)

The shipment came right on schedule. The monitor is working fine. No dead or stuck pixels. It was made in April, 2005. It's great to have a screen I can adjust for height, tilt, and swivel. I love the... I just ran a flickr slide show in Google Chrome and it worked fine full screen. The browser doesn't have an F11 full screen function yet, so it was good to discover websites could do it on their own.
I'm so glad I'm a PC user! PCs rule! Case in point: Google's Chrome web browser. It's very nice. The bookmarking system was clunky at first, but I like it now. I wish it had an option for a plain drop... and much more responsive than IE7 on an AMD Athlon 1.46 GHz system. It also has an incognito window option so I can surf without stupidly recording everything locally. Chrome is worth every penny!
