Our friend Francis came into town to hang out with a new buddy from camp. They arranged a brunch at Elmo (along with a session of Nude Yoga-for those interested). It was a mini camp reunion with me and Patrick, Francis and Mark, Robert & Kevin, (G)erman & Philip (also from Ottowa), and Colin and Dr. Larry.

...bit pepper heavy, but not bad. For dinner I had butternut squash stuffed ravioli with a prosciutto mascarpone sauce. It was delicious. There was just the right amount of filling in the ravioli, the pasta was fresh, and the squash was sweetened just perfectly to match the salty, creamy mix of the sauce. It was delicious. I really recommend going to Giacomo's. For North End dining, its pretty good.

Last night Curmudgeon and I dined out at a Cajun restaurant. We used to love it, but I've noticed a change in the quality of the food over the last couple of years. It was a beautiful evening, with temperatures...didn't the restaurant comp our meals, or at least the entree of which I only ate a few mouthfuls? Service is not what it was. The world is going to heck in a handbasket. And where did I put my glasses

...my charger came ahead of schedule (and completely free), so I am back on my beloved lappy and back in touch with my girlfriend. I am also pleased to announce that Chapter 4 has a tentative title: Of Dining and Dads . This might change, but I'm getting progressively fonder of it and more inclined to leave it be. Yesterday, musicbyoscar   and I were driving out by the Rim, and we noticed that a Maggiano's Little Italy is being built facing I-10!  yeah!!!  Maggianos is one of my favoritist restaurants!!   (I am addicted to their Rigatoni-D.)   I checked their website this morning, and their grand opening is scheduled for November 13! 

Caught "Quarantine" a few days ago. I knew I was taking a chance on this one since there were no reviews out there, but I was bored and felt like a trip to The Grove. Turns out the movie wasn't as bad... with a bit of Tainted Love, Girls Just Want To Have Fun & a Journey tune here and there thrown in for good measure. It sure beats the constant stream of hip hop that seems to spin everywhere else.
