This is one of those rants that half of you will be like, "Meh" and the other half will be like "STFU!!!" Okay, maybe not that fierce, but I may raise a few hackles. I have very deep admiration for voice...actors. Now we're left with poor voice acting to go with the crappy cartoons that keep getting pumped out. And people wonder why nostalgia is such a big thing when it comes to the cartoons my generation

"How do you change your voice so easily? You flip back and forth between characters so effortlessly!" This didn't happen overnight.  This happened LONG before I took the leap into the business. Voices...   I've done this and other scenes in my database this way, that it's in my brain, able to be recalled when a particular role calls for it.  Like I said, this didn't happen overnight - but it DID happen

I subscribe to a couple voiceover social networks, and the topic of Logo vs. Face came up.  A reputable studio owner in L.A. feels that voice actors should use a logo instead of a headshot/pic because...now and proceed as you will. TO POTENTIAL CLIENTS: Hire me because my voice fits the bill. Period. If you see my face and decide it's a pass without giving me a chance, I'm better off without you.
