Ever since I watched this horribly scary episode of Little House on the Prairie when I was about 7 or 8, and people died in a house fire, I've had this horrible phobia of old things and house fires. Antiques. Old phones, stoves, architecture. It all freaks me out, because I think about how many deaths the items have been exposed to, and that it's totally going to go up in flames. Irrational? I have just out a lovely cup and saucer on eBay and I'm hoping it will sell at a reasonable price. I am afraid I may have paid a shade too much for it, but at the time had not realized the significance...from that, they are in almost mint condition. the Schumann plates are in perfect condition and they are such a lovely pattern. I will be posting a picture or two of the sets as they go up for auction
