The Festival of Samhain was an ancient Celtic festival, falling on October 31st. A day which also marks Catholic All-Souls-Day and the secular Halloween, both strongly colored by the Celtic festival... This was a common flame binding together the entire community.

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Halloween. Before you know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here (as well as any other holidays others celebrate). Since this is a Halloween thread, share...as well, but I already watched that a few weeks ago to get the Halloween spirit going. Anyway, enough of what I'm doing. Halloween can be fun as a kid, but now it seems really stupid. Adults dressing up in costumes? Honestly. The event tonight seems pretty pointless. I know I'm not planning to go.
