Hello, my name is Kathryn, and I am a bloggoholic. I have been clean for the past hour now, but that's mostly because I got busy at work. I have this obsession with reading author blogs.  So our first book that we will be reading will be "Story of a Girl" by Sara Zarr. We will begin reading Monday March 24th and the first set of discussion questions will be posted on Sunday March 30. Well, I finished my new book this weekend and turned it into my editor, the unstoppable McG. I celebrated by taking a bath and eating a real dinner. Do not ask me how long it’d been since I’d done either...going to be okay.”   Swoon!   And by the way, the book is serious, not a romance. But come on! Dark hair AND dark past?!   Now get to reading.

Sara Zarr, we need to talk. You cannot keep writing books this wonderful.  I mean, I have things to do.  I have a life.  I cannot keep playing this game of "just one more chapter" while my undone work...stranger (who isn't a stranger after all), the boy-crazy girl.  But these characters, major and minor, have layers that push them right out into three dimensions, and in directions you might not expect

This is possibly the first time that I've really felt connected...point, however, Zarr skillfully crafts a young girl's conflicting emotions on every aspect of being true to yourself and overcoming, and facing your own mistakes and hardships. Really, a great read
