Up for the running of the UK number 1 could be Girls Aloud's newest single, 'The Promise'. Also in the running is Guru Josh with 'Infinity', Razorlight with 'Wire To Wire' and possibly the Kings Of Leon with 'Sex On Fire'. Can they beat P!nk or will she remain at number 1 with 'So What?' for another week.
So, I've always had a general liking for Girls Aloud, but they'd never really grabbed me in a big way. All that's changed. I am beyond obsessed with the Dave Aude remix of 'The Promise', their new single... I've played it so much that if it was a cassette tape, it would be worn thin and the sound would basically be non-existent. I LOVE IT. Plus, Kimberley and Cheryl...excuse me while I drool.

This turned up on the regional BBC site yesterday : Girls Aloud 'porn' blog trial set 'A civil servant from South Tyneside has appeared in court over a blog which detailed the kidnap, torture and...spokeswoman said: "It is very unusual to be prosecuted for a case involving the written word." It rather makes me wonder if this is going ahead merely to set a precedent for future potential cases
