And we have a job! Local cafe/ restaurant. The Toad's Mouth Cafe - a mere 8 minute walk from home, no commute, saves £ on that. Starting off waiting tables, easy as pie, then moving up to the kitchen...certainly do. 30 hrs/ week and so close to home and a paycheck. Looks like I'm returning to my roots and stepping back into my apron. It will be really good to be a baker again. I start next week

I have passed both phone screenings, and have an in-person interview tomorrow at 9 AM. The position is contract, which isn't my favorite, but hey, it's a job. And that is a good thing. I cannot decide... which would normally mean a suit and heels, but also the director of development from the (bought) startup, which I would normally do in black slacks, Fluevogs, and a sweater or blouse. Ack!!

My hands are extremely painful, with cracked dry skin. I hurt all over today. I went back to karate class yesterday (I'd intended to be going to two classes a week by now, but I've missed two weeks of.... It's been preoccupying me a lot lately, which is why this journal has been quiet lately. I'm still here, though, still battling to keep my family together, moving forward through this tough time

I am on my way to bed but I wanted to post something in here just to let you know I'm not dead. The job hunt is just depressing. Honestly, there is no other way to put it. For some reason I feel like...my boundless insecurities with my grammar and whatnot. oh and purplelev   will be moving about 40 mins away from me which means seeing her will be even harder than it is now.
