[Little girl all up in your eggbowl wandering around. Totally, completely lost, though if her brotherasks she will NEVER admit to that. Ever. EVER. Do you approach her y/n]
Agent L emailed me yesterday with a list of the first five editors she subbed my MS to last week. I’m opting not to post their names in keeping with my own superstitious nature. Heh. Never realized I was superstitious until I became a writer—go figure. Anyway, of the five she’s already heard from, three have requested the full. We’re still waiting to hear from the other two. It...
...shakes her head, refusing to be taken to the hospital. "It's just a little thing, deal with the people who are really hurt." She tells the medic, looking for her children and her husband. Agent: "Ma'am, right now this is a security thing." Helen: "Where is my family?" Agent: "They're in the car behind us. Being taken to the White House." Helen: "Then I'll go back to the White...
...in that name, not to mention explaining to all of you through a past LJ post why I picked the different names for my different genres, etc... I'm having to change it. ONE LAST TIME. I hope. My agent emailed me Monday, after I had sent her my new website's link in case she needed it for the submissions to editors, etc... She promptly emailed back and said the A. G. Howard pseudonym felt off for...
...the sci-fi story and started to write some fantasy, it flowed so much more smoothly. I'll finish the short story tomorrow and send it in to the anthology. The really good news is that I had an agent bite at my manuscript, Strider . I had sent her an email query and she wants to see the manuscript. Woo-hoo! I have to send it snail mail, though. Perhaps it is a test of my dedication to see...
I'm pleased to share some big news: I have accepted an offer of representation from Eddie Schneider at JABberwocky Literary Agency ! It's exciting to be a client of such a terrific agency, which represents...in SF and fantasy. I'm especially happy that I'm working with someone so knowledegable in publishing and genre fiction, who is as enthusiastic about my work as I am. :) Now to get back to writing..
Tommy: Tommy waddles around the house. He'd gotten away from Na and Mi. He picks at his diaper, trying to get it off. He was going to find his daddy. He carries his stuffed donkey with him. "Dadadadadadadada...keeps blinking. Noel: "Shhh. Just close your eyes." Tommy: He blinks again, slowly. Noel: Noel smiles, managing to get them both to sleep. He keeps holding them, kissing each on the head
...year! And this was for a picturebook I briefly flirted with. Less than a thousand words and it took thirteen months to read! Oh well, two more rejections. Guess I'll have to go whine about it to my agent. =) Teehee. See what I did there? But yeah, it must be something in the air. Two random replies to old queries in one evening. Let the slush-purging continue. Who knows what other goodies of mine...
... fakenna . I'm not sure if his enhanced presence is a good or bad thing. My initial belief is that it's bad, but that's only because I'm a big chicken. Maybe it has something to do with the agent I wrote a month ago . Her blurb stated that she "responds in two weeks to queries." I haven't heard anything. Is this a good sign? A bad sign? Should I write a follow-up query? I don't know, I just...
...by everyone’s blogs and posting some comments. I’ve just been crazy busy lately. Hopefully, this post will explain why. I vow to pop in to everyone’s blogs sometime next week. Agent L called me the other day. We had a great conversation, talked for about thirty minutes, even joked around a bit. It felt really comfortable and now I have no doubts that we’re going to work well...
