The subject of tonight's "Music and the Brain" lecture at the Library of Congress was "Dangerous Music." Norman Middleton and Jessica Krash discussed three related topics. The first had to do with "diabolus... But Robert Johnson really did sell his soul to the devil at a crossroads. (Okay, they didn't actually say that.) All in all, it was another interesting lecture in a series I am enjoyingimmensely
I just got home to Colorado Springs from a week's trip to Chicago, and whereas a week sounds like a long time, well, it may be when you're 12. I am not 12. Poof! The week was there and gone. But I had...the top paying a lot) than if only the people at the top are paying at all. And on that note, I've got dogs to walk. More tomorrow. Remember: Keep your cool! I have a problem with extremes. I'm either one way or not. Full speed jumping head first in or hiding in a closet somewhere. (For the closet is my favorite place to hide.) I'm just now trying to learn...road again. Does that mean I'll never let anyone in the driveway, much less the metaphorical door? Maybe. Maybe. A year and a half later I'm still not ready. We never even laid eyes on each other
So I'm eveloping this habit of watching the Oprah Show 3 times a week. It's at 8am CST, so 3 hours before my first class I enjoy this kind of pick me up and wake me up show. You see, we humans...if they want to win over the majority. So remember, when you mock undecided voters, you encourage exactly the sort of politics both sides are railing against. I'd like to do this sometime Tomorrow or Friday...its due on Mon and I will be in class all weekend). I can meet wherever. Reading the journal of another priestess... I'm comforted to know I'm not the only one that had an intense dream last night. I'm sure the content of our dreams differed, but it's nice not to be alone...the same as this dude in the dream if I don't fall into "helpless maiden" he's going to have several broken parts if he makes a wrong move. And Yuck! People with bad intent do not make tasty food...
